PCs For Refugees new office located at Phoenix Financial Center in Downtown Corridor

Phoenix, AZ, June 9, 2017 – PCs for Refugee announced today that it has acquired and moved into the Phoenix Financial Center in Downtown Phoenix in the Arcade Plaza after more than a year of operating out of a garage space. This new space not only gives staff and volunteers a dedicated space to build and refurbish computers, but also provides additional storage facilities for equipment, and a centralized distribution hub for delivery of computers to their beneficiaries.  In addition, PCs For Refugees will now be able to serve more constituents by providing additional services that have been in the planning stages for months.

PCs For Refugees would like to thank its volunteers, supporters, community partners, donors, and beneficiaries for their continuous generosity and support in growing the organization and helping to fulfill its mission to empower refugees to more quickly learn English, develop marketable digital skills, and obtain meaningful jobs more quickly than probably without access to technology.

This newly acquired space  will enable PCs for Refugees to supply computers at a faster rate and to more refugee families than ever before. PCs For Refugees will also now be able to provide additional hands-on training for children and adults who wish to learn additional computer skills; provide a learning space for the Let’s Read, Neighbor program; and provide assistance for the Syrian Sweets Exchange bakers to print marketing materials and assist with costing and financial spreadsheets.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our amazing and generous community, without whom we would not be able to do this work. Your continued support over the past year has been invaluable in helping us to empower refugees to become self-sufficient in their new communities. – Riad Sbai, President, PCs For Refugees
